Sweating
is a normal response of the body to control body temperature.
Some people produce sweat in greater amounts than needed to
control their body’s temperature. Excessive sweating
can be localized to mainly palms, soles or armpits (focal
hyperhidrosis) or affect the whole body (generalised hyperhidrosis).
Excessive sweating can have a major impact on quality of life.
At
stethix we provide advice and treatment for excessive sweating,
in particular for axillary hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating
of the armpits) for which Botox has been shown to be an affective
treatment.*
All medical consultations and treatments are carried out by
a consultant dermatologist.
