Hair removal using lasers have been in use since 1997. All treatments are performed by a specialist following a consultation with a consultant cosmetic surgeon. The treatment involves pointing the laser device at a shaved skin.

The heat from the laser disables the follicles from producing hair. As hair grows in cycles and every hair enters their growth cycles at different times, it is necessary to have 6 to 8 treatment sessions at 8 to 12 weeks intervals in order to disable most of the follicles in a given area.
