Advanced Laser Lipolysis

Laser lipolysis is ideally suited to get rid of small areas of stubborn fat which won’t always shift with diet and exercise. Using the advanced TRIPLEX system,  Laser liposuction can reduce fat and sculpt the target area. Laser Liposuction Procedure

The procedure involves a consultation with one of our expert Consultant Plastic Surgeon who will examine you and decide if this procedure is suitable for you. He will explain the procedure to you.  The procedure is carried out under local anaesthetic (with or without mild sedation). The local anaesthetic solution is infiltrated in the area to be treated. Next, the laser is inserted under the skin through a small puncture and the target fat is ‘melted’ using laser energy. This fat is then removed using a cannula. The laser is then used to deliver energy to the skin, encouraging it to thicken and tighten.

Am I suitable?

Laser lipo is a suitable procedure for those who have tried to loose fat with diet and exercise but have areas of fat accumulation which won’t shift. Like conventional Liposuction, this is not a weight reduction procedure and is suited for small areas which also have excess skin. This procedure may reduce the fat and tighten the skin.

How long does it take?

The procedure may take from 60 min to 90 min in most cases. This depends on the size and number of areas to be treated. Total stay at Sthetix, Liverpool, can be 3 to 4 hours.

What aftercare is needed?

Depending on the extent of the procedure, most people can return to light work after 2 days. Mild pain killers may be required for the first day or two. We recommend avoiding exercise and sporting activities for 2 weeks. A compression garment needs to be worn for up to 6 weeks after the procedure.
