Have you been seeking a non-surgical way to combat looking exhausted or haggard? Lines around your eyes and mouth can make you appear tired or older than you are. Trusted by millions worldwide, Botox® (botulinum toxin) works at treating the wrinkles you already have and preventing new ones from forming.
When completed by a skilled injector, you can achieve natural-looking results and resume your daily activities following what has been called the “lunchtime facelift.” As with any procedure, there is the potential for risks and side effects, but choosing the BAPRAS-registered specialists at Sthetix can reduce your risk substantially.
What is Botox®?
As we get older, our skin begins to lose its elasticity, leading to the formation of fine lines and wrinkles. The primary objective of Botox® is to treat and prevent wrinkles. When injected, Botox® blocks signals from your nerves to your muscles. This prevents the targeted muscles from contracting, which can ease certain muscular conditions and improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
In most cases, you can immediately return to your daily activities. It is recommended that you avoid putting pressure on the injected area and taking blood-thinning medications for at least 4 hours following treatment. Some people have been known to develop bumps, redness, or swelling around the injection site, which last no more than one hour. Bruising is less likely in the hands of experienced specialists.
Botox Consultations Available
You will have noticeably smoother skin and a more youthful appearance within 3 to 5 days. The maximal effect can be expected within one week. Results typically last 3 to 4 months but can last longer in patients who have regular follow-up injections. Many patients may be concerned with appearing “frozen”. This effect is avoided when treated by licensed medical professionals at Sthetix.
Side Effects and Other Considerations
Botox® can be dangerous if administered incorrectly and should be used under a licensed doctor’s care to reduce the risk of side effects. This treatment has been used in cosmetic and medical therapy for over 3 decades and considered safe when injected in small, targeted doses.
Most side effects are associated with therapeutic Botox® injections as the doses are much larger than in cosmetic applications. However, rare side effects of Botox® in smaller injections can include eyelid drooping, asymmetry, double vision, itching, and nausea. If there is an occurrence, side effects are usually temporary and often fade within a few days.

This review is from my heart. One of the best things I’ve done for myself happened when i met Mr Alvi. My face was looking very tired with sagging jowls, sunken cheeks, wrinkles, some very deep indeed and drooping eyes. Mr Alvi advised facial fillers and botox and I’m so very very glad I went ahead with this treatment. He has re structured my face and I,m the happiest person in the world. Not only do I look 100% better, but I feel fantastic. My Jowls have now disappeared, wrinkles have softened, eyes look awake and I have lovely natural looking cheeks and lips.
