Facial surgery, Breast cosmetic surgery (including gynaecomastia), Body contouring (abdominoplasty, liposuction, arm/thigh lift), Dermatological Surgery (moles, certain skin cancers & scar revisions), Hair Restoration (hair transplantation & PRP) and non-surgical aesthetic treatments.
Professor Vaiude is a plastic & reconstructive surgeon, surgical trainer and educational innovator. He commenced surgical practice within the NHS in 2000 and gained increasing surgical qualifications and research awards culminating in becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons specialising in Plastic Surgery. Professor Vaiude did his specialist training in Merseyside and gained a craniofacial Fellowship from Alder Hey Hospital. He is on the General Medical Council Register for Plastic Surgery.
Professor Vaiude specialises in facial surgery, breast cosmetic surgery, body contouring, hair restoration and general plastic surgery. He is a member of the British Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS) and an associate member of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgeons (ISHRS).
Amongst his broader NHS commitments, Professor Vaiude is the lead surgeon for a unique hair restoration service that is being pioneered at Alder Hey Hospital to offer reconstructive hair transplant surgery for children with hair loss from burns, injuries or surgery.
As Managing Director and Faculty Lead for Surgical-Art, an international surgical training organisation, Professor Vaiude spends much of his time teaching surgical skills, communication and uniquely, as an exhibited artist himself, ‘artistic perspectives for surgery’. His goal is to advance surgical training methods and to bring to the fore-lesser taught components such as ethical practice and an understanding of the ‘art’ of Plastic Surgery.
Professor Vaiude holds an Adjunct Professorship from Liverpool John Moores University. He is also engaged with teaching and research activities at Edge Hill University, within the Faculty of Health & Social Care.
