What Kind of Minor Surgery Can Be Performed at Sthetix?

At Sthetix, we perform a variety of minor surgeries to help you look and feel your best. Minor surgeries can be done for both aesthetic reasons and medical purposes. One of our highly qualified surgeons will diagnose your concerns and determine the best route for addressing them.

Treatments are typically done in-clinic as an outpatient procedure and only require a local anesthetic. Our surgeons use the latest techniques and most advanced equipment to ensure an optimal outcome. Recovery time varies but is minimal in most cases.

Mole Removal

Mole removal can include; raised moles, hairy moles, warts, freckles, skin tags, and other blemishes. Although lumps and bumps are typically benign (non-cancerous) and not harmful to your health, they can become uncomfortable or downright painful if they’re constantly rubbed against.

We use a variety of methods for mole removal depending on the size, shape, and location. Your treatment may include one or more of the following minor surgeries.

  • Shaving or Scraping
  • Surgical Excision (Removal at the root)
  • Laser Excision
  • Reconstruction
Sthetix Mole Removal Before and After

Multiple moles can safely be removed in one session. After your mole is removed, it will be sent to our lab for testing to ensure there is no cause for concern within the tissue.

Lump Removal

Bulges under the skin can affect your self-confidence and restrict the clothing you choose to wear. After your skin lump is diagnosed and deemed benign by one of our skilled plastic surgeons, your lump removal can be scheduled.

Lipomas (benign fatty tissue beneath the skin) can be removed via surgical or laser excision and closed with stitches. In rare cases, the surgeon may opt to remove your skin lump with advanced liposuction techniques.

Cyst Removal

A cyst is a benign (non-cancerous) lesion below the surface of the skin that consists of a sac filled with semi-solid material. Skin cyst removal is often done purely for aesthetic reasons. However, in some cases, a cyst can cause discomfort or become infected.

Cyst removal is typically straightforward. A small incision is made by your plastic surgeon, and the sac is removed intact. The risk of recurrence after removal is very low when properly removed. Infected cysts will need proper treatment (typically with antibiotics) before we will consider removal.

  • Surgical Revision
  • Silicone Application
